Live Learning Online

A young girl and her friends are preparing for lessons online using a tablet and video

Before the global pandemic, online video lessons were available  but less familiar teaching & learning option for students of all ages and abilities. One of the most significant changes since 2020 is that most teachers, tutors, students and parents have experienced online lessons in one form or another. Everyone now understands that for most students, this can be a beneficial alternative to face-to-face, in-person learning

We recognise that while for some students this option isn’t effective, for many others, it can provide a much-needed opportunity to learn in the safety of their own home, sometimes with their peers from other schools, without the pressure of a tutor in front of them or other students around them.

Before embarking on virtual learning, we ensure that everyone has a full understanding of what will be provided. We also make sure that tutors and students have suitable devices and good enough Internet connections to make online video lessons viable. We can arrange for online learning to take place either at home or in another suitable venue for the student, which can include home or the home of a trusted friend or relative.

Our tutors can deliver lessons in real time via video conferencing either 121 or for a group of children the same age in different places. This can be effective in building social and life skills, as well as familiarising them with engagement with other people and how to be an effective learner, before returning to school, depending on their goal.
